So say a little prayer for Reggie and I. As most of you know, we formed a partnership called Kumatek to write software for the iPhone. At this point the partnership's duties are split like this: Reggie does all the programming and the graphic design, I do all the sounds and the business operations (financials, licensing, interfacing with Apple, permits, contracts, etc). He has promised to teach me how to program and I expect that I'll be better able to contribute to that end of the business soon enough.
Our first application is a game. It's tic tac toe, but we called it "T-Cube". The name comes from the fact that there are three T's in tic tac toe (T to the third power, or T-Cube). What's unique about our version of the game is that we'll be the first tic tac toe on the store that allows two people to play each other over a wi-fi network on their own phones. So two phones can each see each other in-game and can challenge each other. Once the game starts, both player's moves show up on the both screens so they can each sit back on the couch or in different rooms and play each other.
We're headed over to my dad's on Saturday to do some testing on four devices at once to see how the game performs. If that passes, we're good to begin the process of getting it up on the Apple Store. I will post a link to the game on the store here in my blog when it's up there. The game is really polished now and I'm very happy with the graphics and sound.
We're going to sell it for $1.99 on the store. Once it's up there, if you know anyone who has either an iPod touch or an iPhone, we'd sure appreciate it if you passed the word and had people buy it and post positive comments and high ratings. The apps that have 4 or 5 stars sell the most copies.
I should have more news next week.
