What Do These Guys Have in Common?

Ok besides the fact that they're both hot.  They are actually stolen identities.  Yeah, as I delve back into the online world of dating, it seems the latest craze is for some asshole in Nicaragua to find a pic on some hot dude's MySpace page or something, grab the pic and put it up as his picture on a gay site.  The deal is, they get you all hot and bothered, then they give you some sob story about their sick mom in Nicaragua and ask if you can send money to them.  It's really pretty sick.  Thankfully there are some pretty telltale signs...  For one, their English is usually terrible.  Second, they put locations in their profiles like, "Kentucky, Texas".  Guess their geography is as bad as their English.  Third, their pictures all look professional (no candid shots) and they have a difficult time sending more and will stall or make excuses.  Lastly, they can never meet you.  They're always "out of town right now".

I'm not worried about being scammed, but what pisses me off is the wasted time on these assholes.  I'm trying to meet someone genuine and I have to weed through these pricks on the way.  There is a special place in hell reserved for these jerks who take advantage of a man's heart to milk him for money.  I'm sure it works or they wouldn't do it.

What they weren't counting on with me is that my ex was a professional liar and cheat so my private detective skills are finely honed.  Not to mention my bullshit meter is highly sensitive.  Well, meeting men in a bar has hazards, I suppose doing so online needs to have them also.  *sigh*
