So, Catching Up....

I have lots going on right now with work, personal life, home... everything! With the notable exceptions of Kuma getting sick (he's doing much better now) and me getting sick (I'm still hovering around 70% normal), things are doing very well! I can't post about every detail for good reasons until certain aspects solidify a bit more, but I'm looking forward to telling you all soon.

My second weekend retreat went very well. It was more cerebral than the first weekend which is what I was expecting. I still got a lot out of it. It confirmed the self-esteem I got from the first weekend and gave me an understanding of the kind of energy I give off which is that people trust me. I guess that explains why people tend to open up to me - except my boyfriends... what's up with that? It's probably me. I'm sure I've been different with my boyfriends than I am with others. That's changing I can tell you.

I also confirmed that I do have a gift for knowing how people are really feeling. Underneath the layer they put out there. It's not that I'm omnipotent or anything, but if someone starts talking to me a bit about their life, I can see the deeper truth and emotion underneath it. This is both a gift and a curse. I tend to feel the feeling with them so it can be quite impactful for me also. It definitely drives my behaviors sometimes. I usually act in a way that won't hurt others because I feel the hurt with them. It's good for golden rule type stuff, but not when someone is suffering a loss, for example. I tend to cry right along with them - imagining what it would feel like. It's why I have to censor what I watch on TV and in the movies. Movies like the Titanic really impact me. When people know they're going to die or when someone is saying goodbye to someone they love because they know one of them is going to die. Wooo. Those are hard for me to watch and stick with me for quite a while.

Another thing I got to do last weekend was act again and play the piano in front of an audience. I haven't done either of those in years. It was very fun and I do think I'm pretty good at it. We did freeze improv which means two actors start improvising on a position the two of them are in. Then when someone sees a position that they can improv on, they yell, "Freeze!" and tap one of the actors on the shoulder and replace him in the same position then take the scene in a completely new direction. It was VERY funny.

Well, believe it or not I'm still working. I've been working all weekend with almost no end. I'm pooped and there's still more to do. I'll try to post more this week. At least keep you guys smiling :)
