Kuma Update

Kuma has made a pretty miraculous recovery. Friday night, he ate more hot dogs and Saturday morning, Jesse and I were awoken to Kuma running up and down the fence barking at the neighbor dog. He has a psychological issue going on with his food, however. I've managed to get him interested in his dry food if it's made into a soupish concoction with water.

Today is his last day of antibiotics. He's still coughing every now and then, but it's less often and less severe than before. It looks like we jumped this hurdle and the vet is very pleased. He was concerned. When I told him that Kuma had coughed up some black slimy crap, he said, "Ohhhh." You never want to hear your vet or doctor say, "Ohhhh".

Anyway, it looks like Kuma wants to hang out with us a bit longer. I can't thank you all enough for your support and thoughts. I know that Kuma loved seeing you all stop by even though he could only wag his tail from his prone position.
