The vet said he had a temperature of 104 which is about 2-3 degrees above normal and indicate that he is fighting an infection. Based on other symptoms, the vet said it's likely aspiration pneumonia. He gave him a shot of antibiotics and some pills to give him. He is so weak right now. He's been laying in the living room panting. I went to get him to move outside so he could cool off and he had a really hard time getting up. I don't know whether tonight's rest will give him rest and healing or whether he will slip further from me. He barely took his pill tonight and if he doesn't drink or eat soon, I'll need to take him back to the vet tomorrow.
This is not looking too good right now. :(
