More Prayers For Kuma

As a complication of his megaesophagus condition, it is possible for food/water to go into Kuma's lungs instead of his stomach. If this happens, he could develop what's called Aspirational Pneumonia - basically an infection in his lungs. These, if caught early enough, can be treated with antibiotics. This morning I noticed Kuma coughing and when he took a breath, there was a cackle sound. His breathing is a shallow pant right now. I can't get him in to the vet until 3pm today.

Mentally I'm preparing myself for the worst. I always hoped he would go on his own. I don't want to make "that" decision today and I hope it doesn't come to it. But the time is nearing for my old friend to leave me, I think. Please pray for him. I'll post an update this afternoon when I return.
